The month begins with the turn of a page,
Time made bearable in two-inch squares,
Accounting for the moon's every phase.
Observances of dead men's deeds,
Holy days give rise to faith in
The predictability of change;
The dailiness of life.

Nothing makes time fly like buying on it.
Month to month
Payment to payment
Give me time for living
And cash for my raiment.
Well, we understand the world only through sequences of arbitrarily tagged "important" events. Still, life's 'dailiness" is a miracle don't you think?
